Vintage Tunes Played on Vintage Instruments
This CD represents music from the 1830s to the 1890s using original 19th century instruments.
"Even the bones are documented to a sailor in the United States Navy during the War between the States," reports Marty.

These hard-to-find CDs are the same ones sold by the National Park Service, state agencies and private historical preservation organizations at historic sites around the country.

The tunes are performed by Martin Liebschner, Jr. Marty is known as "Banjoman" in the reenacting community and works as a professional musician who specializes in 19th century instruments. He holds an academic degree in Early American History and has dedicated himself to living history, preservation and education.

Marty appears in TV and documentaries as a performer and music consultant in well over a dozen historical film productions. His historical film production credits include Gettysburg, Andersonville and Spotsylvania Court House.
