Where did you learn about this position:

1. Anyone can learn to manage an ecommerce store. Do you know basic html, and do you have experience operating an ecommerce platform (such as Volusion, Shopify, Big Commerce)—or are you willing to work your butt off on your own time learning how?


2. Do you have visual communication skills—and can you provide a portfolio of coupons, ads, booklets, and collateral materials you created using Photoshop, Pages, Illustrator or other reprographics or layout software?


3. Do you have experience shooting product photos—and can you provide a portfolio of product shots that include your own hands modeling the products?


4. Do you have experience playing traditional music such as Irish, ragtime, minstrel, old-time, or jugband? (Please provide links to YouTube videos that show you performing in a small ensemble setting.) We do not sell banjos, but playing banjo in a traditional string band is probably the best way to understand what motivates our rhythm instrument customers. If you are not a member of the traditional music community—are you willing to learn 5-string banjo (clawhammer style, not bluegrass) on your own time and expense? If you prefer to not learn banjo, how do you plan to market our products from the viewpoint of a customer?


5. Do you have experience composing clearly written direct response copy—and can you provide samples of newsletters, coupons, ads, collateral materials, and product descriptions you created?
