Scott- these might be paper folders...(called bone folders as well).....you used one to provide a sharp crease on paper-especially in bookbinding....

traditionally they were bone or ivory....very smooth....and made to slide across the paper you were manipulating....they are still popular and used all over-just not the real bone ones.... rob
