Matched pairs of natural cow shin bones...great for small hands!
Alternative Views:
Great for small hands!
High gloss polished finish.
Each pair matched to within 2 grams.
Handcrafted in Asia from cow shin bones.
Somewhat similar to light weight
Nautical Style Bones
: But a little narrower and less substantial. Maybe a little thinner. More delicate too. Keen edge enables firm grip.
No two bones are exactly alike. Your item may differ slightly from photos.
Priced per pair.
Budget priced:

Torque:
Individual bones might torque (i.e. show a twist shape, like a propeller) significantly more or less than the other. This variation in shape is one factor that makes cow shin bone bones quite charming. On the other hand, the extent of the difference might cause delight with some players but dismay in others. If you specify whether you prefer less torque or more torque, I will try to accommodate you.
Some are rather curvy. Some torque quite a bit. But at this bargain price for a pair of finely crafted natural musical bones, you can't hardly go wrong.

Lark Bone Bones
light & slim
Handcrafted in Asia from natural cow shins, these slim lightweight "Bone Bones" are perfect for women, kids, and anyone with small hands.
Heirloom Quality Musical Bones
The bones boast a high-gloss buffed finish and are built to last. They look and feel like ivory, but are actually made from cow shins. The rugged instruments are literally bone solid and quite similar in shape to the popular
Nautical Style Bones
. The Lark Bone Bones are definitely a little narrower though. And maybe a little thinner. The keen edge enables a firm grip.
Fine Quality Instruments at a Budget Price
Distributed by Lark in the Morning music shop, you will be hard pressed to find these bones at your local music store or anywhere on the Internet. And at this bargain price for a pair of finely crafted natural musical bones like these, you can't hardly go wrong.
What are Matched Pairs?
Many players like to mix and match different kinds of bones. But they also appreciate—and long for—matched pairs. Experienced players will tell you how difficult it is to find matched pairs of natural bones. Matched pairs are two virtually identical bones. For two-handed players, matched sets of four bones are nirvana.
Don't Pay Premium Prices for Randomly Matched Pairs
If you search long and hard enough, you might find similar bones at other online music shops. Last time we checked though, even at premium prices, no other shop sells properly matched pairs. What's more, no other shop demonstrates their ability and wherewithal to properly grade bones, yet alone match pairs to our stringent standards. They just grab any ol' bones out of the bin, then mail the ill-matched buggers off to you. So it's anyone's guess what's inside when you open the box. The only place you can order carefully matched pairs of these Lark natural bone bones is here at Bone Dry Music.
You Get Pairs Matched by Relative Weight, Shape, and Warp
We understand how important it is for some players to find closely matched pairs of bones. So we are delighted to offer you pairs of Lark bone bones matched within just 2 grams (.07 ounce) of each other. But we don't stop there. That's because some bones are relatively straight. Others are curvy. Some warp to the left. Some to the right. So besides matching pairs by
relative weight,
we also match them by
shape
(straight or curvy) and
warp
(left or right). Although we cannot guarantee matched sets of 4 bones, most sets will be exact matches or vary just slightly from another.
Bottom Line:
This is a marvelous opportunity for two-handed players to acquire rare sets of closely matched pairs of Bone Bones at a bargain price.
Tonality
Bones that produce a bright sharp tone like these are hard to find and among my favorites.
Why Choose these Bones?
If you have small or kid-size hands; want a narrow version of Nautical Style Bones; want a light & slim pair of cow shin bones at a budget price; then these Lark Natural Rhythm Bones are for you.
