How these Thimbles were Produced
The thimble designs in this lot are pretty much identical. Each thimble sports a small rough bur on the rim that you might want to sand off. The bur is where the thimble breaks off during the plastic injection molding process that forms an item.
These vintage plastic thimbles came from different sources where they were probably stored in a box in the garage or supply room for years. Most look brand new. Some might reveal a little dust or slight wear. Each thimble features a traditional domed crown, fine knurling, and extended rim. The durable plastic design offers you a quality musical implement at a fraction of the weight of standard nickel plated steel thimbles.
So get these thimbles if you want your nice old washboard to last longer. You will also want plastic thimbles when you don't want to overpower your bandmates.
